OrangeDot.com.au was established in February 2020 in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Registered dentist, Dr Shiranth Fernando, was concerned that available Personal Protective Equipment did not adequately protect health care workers. With the help of Nathan de Suoza, a University of South Australia student studying Mechatronics and after months of research and development and over twenty prototypes, the OrangeDot Face Shield was developed. This device is unique because it provides protection, cooling, prevention of condensation and illumination. It has been enthusiastically received by health care personnel during clinical trials.

Please note that the device is currently undergoing further clinical trials and evaluation before it is available commercially in September 2020. Australian and international patents are pending.
