We enjoyed our stay here immensely, and Neil you were a great help in your excellent knowledge of Adelaide’s History. We enjoyed the swimming pool ….
Thanks for the use of the pool; we loved it when we returned from each day. The food available was also wonderful. Helpful information about Adelaide……
Plenty of room in the unit, excellent facilities, very clean & tidy …. There is no comparison to other accommodation. Like I said, It’s better than it looks on the “web” – Normally it’s the other way around. Thank you very much for your hospitality. I have been very comfortable.
Your price should be at least $100 per night. We will certainly return and recommend this accommodation which is very conducive to a relaxing holiday….
Enjoy the peaceful location of this large suite situated in Magill, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. The house to which it is attached is located on a quiet street, less than 500m away from hair and beauty parlours, grocery and take away food shops, and medical facilities.
The Gums Recreation Ground in Tranmere, about 800m from the house, contains a large park, playground and BBQ area. Tennis courts, and a soccer playing field are about 700m away.
Uni SA (Magill Campus) is about 750m away.
Firle Plaza, located about 1.5 km from the house, contains almost everything you require (such as banks, chemist, Coles, K-Mart, restaurants, medical facilities and take away/home delivery shops).
Magill is the ideal base from which to explore Adelaide and the famous Wine districts. For the more adventurous, there is plenty of bush walking (Morialta Conservation Park in Rostrevor), and the beaches are not too far.
Adjacent/Close suburbs to Magill are Rosslyn Park, Auldana, Woodforde, Rostrevor, Hectorville, Tranmere, St Morris, Wattle Park, Newton and Norwood.
The city is approximately 7km from Magill. The bus stop to the city and beach is less than 200m away from the house. It takes about 25 minutes by bus to the city, and about an hour to the beach. By car these times can be halved.
The suite is located at the back of a well presented house built about 1920, but is itself was built about 1995 and has separate private access.
It contains a queen size bed, dining table and chairs, sofa, television, washing machine, iron and hair dryer. You also have access to a pool-side table setting and pool.
Adjacent to your room is a large ensuite which also contains a washing machine.
You will be provided with milk, tea/coffee, juice, bread, butter, jam, ham, cheese and cereal sufficient for the first morning or two.
Kitchen facilities including a microwave, kettle, toaster oven, fridge, crockery, cutlery, cookware and cooking utensils, are all located in the suite.
The bus system is very good, and time tables are available. Two separate bus services are within walking distance from the house. Both buses travel via Currie Street, Grenfell Street, and King William Street, which are all located in the center of Adelaide. The buses then proceed to beachside suburbs. As we travel by car into the city often, it may be possible to organise a ride to/from the city.
